Perhaps a tad more shade definition for some "depth" to the characters (obviously, without getting detailed).

I concur with Dr. Armstrong. But I like it, and voted to Submit This

This is hilarious :3

Would add some shading to the octopus and bear. After that, submit it :)

And if you're not too busy, I could sure use some help for my critique!

I like the concept and the style, but the bear's legs look a little odd to me. Particularly the back right (stage left), which reads as broken to me.

Great shirt! I really like the subtle bubbles.

the octopus has this one in the bag, right? i mean, all he has to do is hold on to the bear until he drowns. or are we assuming that polar bears can hold their breath underwater for great lengths of time, allowing him ample opportunity to claw the octopus into submission?

DW is right.. maybe you could turn the image 90 degrees and make the waterline break just a bit below the Polar Bear's head. Then you can water splooshing up and it solves the problem of there not being much action in what should be an action scenario and it gives the polar bear a fighting chance.

Also, I agree with Paul. The bear needs a little texture to his fur and the overall depth could be improved. I also think the colors could be earthier and less cartoony... even though its a cartoon.

Polar bear's left hand should also be holding a Rambo-inspired survival knife and the octopus should have 3 of the following:

a baseball bat

a hatchet

a lead pipe

a black jack

pepper spray

nunchucks

brass knuckles

a hacksaw

a golf club

a tire iron / crowbar

@Brightwood: Is it awful or clever or real?

I'd add some depth to them and maybe just a little more bubbles. Then sub it. This is awesome!

A comment and a score would be so awesome!

Wow, what a magnificent concept!

I think you've got the ideas and that's a great start. I think the design needs to be bigger and to have more texture and detail.

Maybe you could have a look at mine too? (Very different style to yours) :) It's for the Threadless Loves competition, Childhood. Design 1: Puddles Thanks!

it sure looks like the octopus is winning here it looks like if the bear is dominated ...make it equal will make it more tense more real...mmm...beside that i think its an original thought dont know if it could happen tho in real life i mean :)
