I'm sure this is a common complaint, so I'll summarize: the quality of the shirts printed by Threadless is inversely proportional to it's popularity. That is, the more creative/abstract/"artsy" designs fall by the wayside of designs with more mainstream appeal.*

In any event, I think the printing of these "under-scored and over-looked" designs may be the best thing Threadless has done since the revival of some of their retired shirts. I know this is Threadless's way of saying something along the lines of, "Hey guys, we know you guys didn't seem to like these very much the first time around, but we're rather fond of them and have decided to give them a shot anyway," but in my mind the message is more in the tune of, "Hey guys, you dick-wads don't know shit about shit and wouldn't know a good t-shirt design if it bit you in your miserable asses, so today we're taking things out of your hands and printing what should be printed. Deal." Maybe I'm just a mean-spirited person.

But once again, I'm mega-stoked. I want every single one of these shirts. I'm one of those people that just pick up 3 or 4 shirts every time a sale rolls around (I'm assuming I'm not alone in this), but I may have to dip into my STP reservoir and nab a couple of these before they're gone.

Also, in regards to the 5 dollar shirts, a couple of them are ones that were high on my want list for the last sale but were passed up for others. Lucky coincidence, eh?

* I guess whether a shirt "sucks" or "rules" is pretty subjective, but I'd like to think of Threadless as a source of highly creative designs and artwork rather than a stock bin of shirts comparable to common Target fodder.
The day I laid eyes on this design, I thought to myself, "It's such a shame this is retired, I'd love to have it." Then when I read that Threadless would be reprinting some retired designs, I thought to myself, "It would be awesome if they reprinted Drum n Bass." Then when I saw that it had in fact been reprinted, my thoughts were something along the lines of, "zomgbuynow." I'm not sure who's responsible for this, but thank you. :D
Can somebody explain how this works to me? I just signed up today. I don't need help with the software, but, well... About thirty seconds into exploring the website I click on the big "Users" tab, and the first thing I see is a link to kaloyster's profile. Is this just a weird coincidence, or was I somehow destined to find him? :)
So, having heard a coule Ramones songs on the radio and around town, I finally got around to picking up a "best of" CD, and I must say, I'm diggin' it quite a bit. But I noticed something I thought was kinda odd- the handful of songs at the end of the CD sound different than the others. I'm not really up-n-up on music classification, so I know I'm gonna put this wrong, but they sound more... American? Kinda AC/DC Metallica-esque, I guess. So here are my questions:

Did the Ramones' sound change over the time that they were playing, or were tracks like these intermittent throughout their discography, and for some reason this CD clumped them together at the end?

If their sound did change, which albums would you reccomend I pick up if I prefer songs like "Blitzkrieg Bop" and "I Wanna Be Sedated" to "Garden of Serenity" and "I Believe in Miracles?"

What other punk bands would you reccomend that are similar or not-similar-but-also-good?
Somebody gave me STP's and I'd like to know who. Either one person gave me four, or two people gave me two.

Come forward now and I won't be too harsh. Putting it off won't help you, it'll only delay the inevitable.

Also, so I don't lose track, this is who I've given points to so far...

I was excited to see this shirt reprinted a while ago, and even more excited when I bought it during the last sale. But when it got here, I noticed a small hole in the middle of the back. This was disheartening, but I filled out the return form, mailed it back, and diligently waited. A couple days ago I got an email telling me that the shirt is out of stock in my size! I never even got to try it on!

I guess all I can do is wait for all the extra and extra extra large sizes to sell and hope it gets re-reprinted.

Points. I've got money to burn and nobody's name to put it under. In 100 words or less, tell me why you're worthy. And why you love me.
