Hello all.

Just had a major let down today.

I run a project called GamePaused, a creative celebration of the video game.
Basically a push for creativity in work inspired by games, rather than the usual video game rip offs. Book being designed at the moment featuring over 500 artists. Had a very tough time selling the idea to publishers though.

The lack of interest for doing something different hit bigger today as I launched 2 posters inspired by the latest nintendo consoles, the DS and the Wii.

I thought I had a strong concept and executed them very well, staying true to their inspiration and pushing an idea.
Although I have had some praise from the designers who have seen it, many of the gamers just dont understand and to be honest have gave it a good slating. Got me real down now. Everybody asks for creativity in gaming, but when it is presented they don't realise it.

Damn, I wish I wasn't a designer today!

Posters are at www.gamepaused.net

Rant over.
