I was bored and posted this old video:
http://digg.com/videos/comedy/Taping_Up_Streets Thats me and some friends a couple years back. What do you think? about Snack
I really like this on red, so I'm glad they took my idea to print it red, but everyone else is hating on it. Oh well.
Some friends and I decided to try some home screen printing, and here are the first two shirts Ive done. Im still perfecting the technique, but soon I'm gonna try multiple color prints.
Sticking with one color and only simple-ish shapes is kind of hard, but they are still ok looking shirts. Also, once this ink dries and sets, it feels like a really nice print. Anyone else tried this? (I didnt design the robot one, got it from a stencil site.)

Is it just me or does that say My Chemical Romance loves Threadless? Did I miss something?
I know you are allowed up to 4, but does it have any influence on which designs are printed? More colors = more money to print, correct? Are fewer color shirts any more likely to be printed?
Also, if I remember correctly, Threadless still gets their shirts printed somewhere (at least last time I heard). Is this still the case, and if so, any plans on getting some screen printing equipment?
Is that idea totally dead? For those who dont remember, a long, long time ago, Threadless had the idea to let users financially sponsor a reprint, and theyd get a cut of the shirt sales. I always thought it was a great idea, so what happened?
I know it says itll take 2-5 days for a submission to be put into the running, but I've never seen it take that long. I submitted one more than 5 days ago and it still isnt up. Any ideas?

Man, you should be able to see the picture I submitted in an attempt to win 10 Street Team points, I thought it was really funny, but it wasnt good enough. What do you think? The only reason I can think of is cause the design is kinda small, but Ive got some other shots from the series, am I allowed to submit some more? (Im not trying to sound all whiney, I just think that less interesting ones have been chosen for other shirts).
I know it has happened before, but I really want to see Threadless print another shirt that says Threadless on it. The last one they made was just awesome (too bad Im always broke and by sale time it was gone).
Anyway, point of this post is, why not have a contest where people make Threadless themed shirts? Sort of a Threadless Loves Threadless thing, since now they have it set up to mix in special category competitions with the normal submissions. Anyone else think this is a good idea? |
