hehehe, I think some people might take it the wrong way, but the longer I look at this, the funnier I find it... Manet must have had some interesting picnics... nice twist ^^

I don't know. I like it, but I feel that by replacing all the women in the painting with cows makes a slightly controversial statement.

Ha! Thanks, guys. This is unfinished, actually. Blasted deadline! The hamburgers, the trash in the foreground and the guy in the background need about another hour's work. I'd also like to see a cow pat among the napkins. But enough excuses, here's a link to the painting that I didn't have time to dig up when I subbed. It can be read as being about power, respect and the balance thereof... and one unsettling gaze.

I feel that by replacing all the women in the painting with cows makes a slightly controversial statement. Heh, yep. That was pretty deliberate. ;)

LOL! Oh, sometimes being an art kid has it's advantages. This is one of them. But how many people will get it?

|
Mooooo!
deliberate eh? what is your statement? Women taste good with cheesy potatos? Women should be fed grain? Women's hides should upolster many car seats? Women graze? ??????? |
|
No, I'm saying that women have seven stomachs. Little known fact. :P Mezo, you needn't worry, I look like a troll. Thanks for the comments everybody!!

I usually don't like parodies of classic paintings, but yours is nicely composed and adorable, the best design I've seen in this competition, so good luck to you. (^_^)
