And I hate to say it, but movable type backwards so it prints forwards.

SEVEN-HUNDRED on Sep 20 '08
Yeah, i know. The design just looked better this way, the text was too difficult to read backwards.

The hyphen kills the flow a bit ofr me, but love the literal play on type you created here as well as the graphics.

Yeah move shouldn't be broken up since it's one syllable. Nice job on the typography though.

I like the concept but can't overlook the one-syllable word being hyphenated. Also it would be great if the blocks of type actually looked three-dimensional - they're very 2D!

simple and effective...like it! :)

I'm with Alecto and and Kookaberry - can you make the "move" one word?

I think it looks quite 3D enu=ough actually. I like planometrics. And no, they're not trousers, that's the way the old type blocks are in our print museum - come to think of it I reckon the Print Museum here might sell it - PRINT! PRINT!

great concept

The reason I hyphenated the 'move' was, to make the design look stronger, almost like an army regiment, which, should, make the moving mountains talk seem more plausible.

Plus, it looks better than having the words all poking out at different lengths.

Thanks for all the great comments so far

See my comment above Cassienova...

Man, I really didn't think the 'mo-ve' would cause so much bother

You should soooooo do both the forward and backwards versions, and put one on the back and one of the front!

for me the brilliance was in the fact that the word "Move" was cut in half and returned to the next line. I agree with the front/back thing too.

the design is awesome, but i wouldve loved it even more if it was set in helvetica... oh and it should be spelled backwards too since the type itself is the negative :-P
