igo2cairo on Sep 22 '09 Memento Mori is a Latin phrase meaning "Remember you will die". I try to remind myself of this every morning as I start a new day.
Dedicated to myteemo :) This design was inspired by old tattoo designs, Edgar Allan Poe, Victorian botanical illustrations and my life-drawing classes when I attended art college. illustrated in pencil crayon, coloured in photoshop. Tee printing requirements: simulated process, oversize print. Lisa - no, never heard of them. It's a common phrase but I'm a movie-buff so the first thing that comes to mind for me is the movie "Memento" directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Guy Pearce. A really cool film where the time-line is filmed backwards, about a man who has lost his memory and is trying to solve the murder of his wife. He can only remember things for a little while so gets clues tattooed all over his body as a reminder. |
