I think the picture is cool, but I don't care for rectangle/square shapes in the middle of a shirt. That's just personal preference, cool work tho.

Cool image, but it would be cool if there weren't restrictive borders or if the design took up the whole shirt (too big, I know).

I believe the 'restrictive borders' are a reflection of the actual dimensions of the Shashimono banners worn in battle:)

cosmo, one of the other renditions had that, but, as littlem said, the idea is that it's a traditional sashimono. I might try to re-submit with some changes, though. Thanks for the input!

I'd say either put the design on the back of the shirt, or maybe make it a little off center. Perhaps on the left side, where a breast pocket would be.
I really like the design a lot. The idea of the rising sun actually being a rising sun intrigues me. |

About my design
I kept adding and subracting things from this design, but nothing seemed more right than this. If any of you have any ideas on how to spice it up, I'd like to hear them.
Personally, though, I'd wear it like this.
