It would be cooler if it wasn't so symmetrical. Maybe make the base layer symetrical, like you have, and then build a few larger ones on top so you can kind of get an idea that the scissors are the pattern. This seems so subtle that it might pass most people right by.... but I like the color choices a bunch.
