I wanted to do a design about the holidays and how everyone expects you to be happy when sometimes, the fact that it is the holidays just won't do it. I also wanted to incorporate how many people overlook this fact.



So here we have a snow globe that boldy wishes you happy holidays that contains a sad snowman who wants out. Will you help him?

There's a Pixar short that reminds me off this it was aired along with Finding Nemo. There's this little snowglobe with a snowman and he wants to hangout with the cool Summer toys.

This is out of season though.

marchhare: To me, every snow globe looks like a UFO so I see your point but the question is, how to not make it look like a UFO?



raem: It's actually not a text bubble, it's as if he blew on the glass to fog it up and then used his finger to write out the help me.



In theory, I don't think it would work under water but then again, in theory, snowmen are not alive.



And I did think about the whole SOS thing. I wanted to make it subtle though so you would have to look twice. Putting SOS in big letters in the snow just makes it too obvious.

Yeah, the first thing I thought of was the Pixar short. Oh, and Cars is awesome.

to answer how to make it NOT look like a UFO, you need to make the base no wider in diameter than the bottom of the snow globe. most snow globes dont have wide bases like that.

I love Christmas year round. I think it's great. I like how you made him write on the foggy glass.

4Lanie: What is weird is that I have seen more snow globes with the wider base. I have seen them with the smaller base but I know my mom has some in the Christmas decorations with wide bases. *shrugs* You make a point though.



I was going for contrast between the giant Happy Holidays slogan and the snowman. I was trying to make it so it would draw attention away from the snowman to the Happy Holidays.



And thanks to everyone for the love so far! And I have never heard of that Pixar short but I must see it now, the premise sounds ridiculous.

$5. Great design, just not on the brown though. I definitely perfer the corner positioning, the circular globe in the center would be much too much imho.
